Artisan Market is a curated e-commerce platform that gives independent craftspeople a premium space to sell their work globally. The founders wanted something that felt as luxurious as the products being sold — not another generic marketplace.
Independent artisans were stuck between two bad options: sell on generic platforms that commoditized their work, or build their own store and handle all the tech themselves. Neither option let them focus on what they do best — creating.
We built a custom marketplace with individual branded storefronts, Stripe Connect for seamless payouts, Sanity CMS so artisans could manage their own content without code, and a discovery algorithm that surfaces products based on aesthetic preferences rather than just price.
Generated $2M+ in revenue in the first year, grew to 500+ artisan partners across 28 countries, and achieved 240% sales growth quarter over quarter. Average order value is 3x higher than comparable platforms.
